The Lexus JX 470 will replace the Lexus LX470 in 2007, making its debut as a 2008 model. Lexus is expected to introduce a new 5.4 L V8 engine in the Lexus JX. With this engine, it is possible that the model will actually be named Lexus JX 540 by the time it reaches production. The Lexus JX will be based on the next generation Toyota Sequoia, though the current Lexus LX is based on the Toyota Land Cruiser.
